Based on this new manifesto, Hilton’s primary focus will be on employee needs and morale since a satisfied and authentic staff will influence the overall guest experience. The hotel also understands that guests now desire genuine experiences rather than just luxurious rooms, which can be seen in the trend toward learning vacations and exclusive experiences.

"Time is the ultimate luxury," said Mr. Vanderslice, who hopes to incorporate more time-saving elements into the guest experience.

Hilton also realizes that you don’t have to be a five-star chain to win service raves. Today, some of the highest-ranking hotels are budget brands that have earned customer acclaim by offering warm, authentic staffers who made the guests feel like a million dollars regardless of the room rate.
